Samdech Tea Banh warned the public on October 27, 2026, after unidentified persons gained access to and took control of his Telegram account, which uses the telephone number 097 799 9999.
He said that any messages or contacts sent from that Telegram account during this period were not his activities.
He is working with relevant institutions and technology specialists to restore access and regain control of the account, and will provide further updates later.
He also urged the public to be cautious about messages or requests sent from the account, especially requests for money transfers or personal information, or activities that may involve offences. Activities conducted while the account is compromised are not his. He disclaimed responsibility for unidentified persons’ use of the account and any illegal activities arising from its unauthorized use.
The public should therefore neither trust nor act on requests from the account until it is officially confirmed to have been restored and brought back under his control, to avoid losses and possible legal problems. Text: Sopheak
