Tourism Minister Huot Hak and a Ministry of Tourism delegation arrived safely in Dunhuang, Gansu province, in the People’s Republic of China, to take part in the province’s annual international tourism promotion event. The event runs from November 1 to 4, 2026, with participants from more than 55 countries worldwide.

On arrival, the minister and the delegation received a warm welcome from Xu Yanli, Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Gansu Provincial People’s Government and head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee. Senior officials, Cambodia’s Consul General in Xi’an Ung Samraingsey, and Huo ZhaoGuo, president of the Gansu Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, also joined the reception.

Participation in this major international event offers an opportunity to present Cambodia’s political, social and security situation, and to promote its tourism potential to people in Gansu and participants from more than 55 countries. Cambodia’s presence, particularly that of the Ministry of Tourism, also helps strengthen tourism cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China. This cooperation has continued to make encouraging progress through the “Cambodia–China Tourism Year 2025” campaign and the continued growth in Chinese tourists and investors coming to Cambodia.
