Russian authorities detained a minor suspected of planning a terrorist attack in a Moscow park after receiving intelligence and an advance warning from the US government, according to Interfax. The suspect, a Russian citizen, had posted several photographs on TikTok wearing a face covering and military clothing and holding an object resembling a weapon.
The unidentified suspect reportedly shared photographs taken at the Tsaritsyno Museum in southern Moscow with the caption “I found a place”.
According to Interfax, FSB officers searched the suspect’s home and found military clothing matching the social media photographs. Data on the suspect’s phone also contained information about terrorist attacks and mass killings, as well as a subscription to a neo-Nazi group’s Telegram channel.
The arrest followed a security alert issued by the US Embassy in Moscow warning of a “threat that could endanger many lives” at the Tsaritsyno Museum, a popular park and historic estate complex. By Rithy
