Summary

ITAKA plans tourism packages and charter flights to Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province for winter 2027–2028, provided its plans remain unchanged. Departure cities, operating airlines and flight frequencies have yet to be announced, and arrangements remain subject to confirmation.

Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province could welcome more European visitors. Polish tour operator ITAKA plans to offer tourism packages to the province during the 2027–2028 winter season and arrange charter flights.

On November 2, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth led a delegation to a working meeting with ITAKA representatives in Warsaw, Poland’s capital. The two sides focused on tourism cooperation and investment opportunities.

During the meeting, Mang Sineth presented the province’s economic development and investment potential, inviting ITAKA to explore cooperation in tourism and other key local sectors. He expressed hope that resources from European tourism businesses could further enhance Sihanoukville’s international appeal.

ITAKA representatives said the company would arrange the tourism packages and charter services for winter 2027–2028 if its plans remained unchanged. However, departure cities, operating airlines and flight frequencies have not yet been announced, and the arrangements await further confirmation.

ITAKA is one of Poland’s major tour operators, with decades of industry experience. Its business includes hotel holidays, cultural sightseeing and tourism products covering destinations across several continents.

On October 29, Cambodia’s Tourism Minister Huot Hak also suggested promoting charter services for Polish and European visitors during a meeting with Iwona Kmiecik, founder and president of IM Capital Holding.

If the plans are successfully implemented, Sihanoukville could attract more European visitors, creating new opportunities for local hotels, restaurants, transport providers and tourism services.
