US travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler recently released its “Best Countries in the World” list for the 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards. Cambodia ranked fourth with 93.57 points, behind only Japan, Italy and Ireland, making it the highest-ranked Southeast Asian country in this edition’s poll.
Elsewhere in Southeast Asia, Vietnam ranked tenth with 92.99 points, Thailand twelfth with 92.89, and Singapore eighteenth with 92.11. Cambodia placed ahead of several popular tourism destinations in the region.
Founded in 1987, Condé Nast Traveler is an internationally recognised travel publication covering luxury travel, hotels and destinations around the world.
The list is part of a readers’ choice award and primarily reflects participating readers’ assessments of their travel experiences and destinations. It is not an official ranking of tourism competitiveness.
The 2026 US edition placed Cambodia fourth, while the UK edition ranked it sixteenth, illustrating differences in destination preferences among readers in different markets.
