The declaration was signed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 26 October 2025, witnessed by US President Donald Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Socheata said: “Cambodia sincerely hopes this positive measure will help advance the two countries’ joint efforts to promote peace and stability and restore normal relations as soon as possible.”
She reiterated that Cambodia would remain steadfast in fully implementing the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration and continue close cooperation with Thailand for the lasting benefit of both countries and their peoples.
