An unidentified Thai woman reportedly fell from the third floor of a building called Airwood in Poipet’s commercial area, on the Cambodian–Thai border, at around 9:30 a.m. local time on the morning of the report. She died at the scene.
According to a report that day by the Thai news website X-bomber, a Cambodian witness nearby said: “I heard a loud noise, as though something had fallen from a height. When I turned around, I saw a woman lying on the ground, bleeding and motionless. It looked as though the impact had killed her immediately.”
Poipet police and a medical team arrived immediately and confirmed that the woman had died.
Police cordoned off the scene and began examining CCTV footage inside and around the building to investigate the circumstances and cause of the fall.
