On November 14, China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam held a ministerial meeting in Kunming, China, focused on cooperation against transnational telecommunications and online fraud. The meeting aimed to strengthen regional law enforcement collaboration and establish long-term joint mechanisms against new forms of crime.

Representatives discussed joint enforcement, intelligence sharing and cross-border scam networks. They agreed that telecommunications and online fraud seriously threatened regional economic development and social stability, requiring closer and more effective cooperation. They called for coordinated crackdowns, joint action against scam compounds and pursuit of those involved to curb the spread of such crimes.
Interpol, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Lancang–Mekong Integrated Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation Center attended as observers. The six countries pledged to deepen and broaden cooperation, protect regional security and safeguard their peoples' lives and property.
