Preah Sihanouk province has secured two major investment projects worth more than US$15 million. Once completed, they are expected to create over 1,000 jobs and further strengthen the province’s position as a regional investment destination.
According to the provincial government, the projects are a rubber-oil production plant and a Christmas-decoration factory. Both have received approval in principle and are due to begin construction in the province. Once operating, they are expected to help upgrade local industry and attract more upstream and downstream businesses, creating industrial clusters.
The provincial government cited the province’s location, improving infrastructure and business environment as advantages for attracting foreign investment. It pledged continued services and support for smooth project implementation and long-term business operations to promote local economic growth.
