Air Cambodia has become the first customer worldwide for the “X-Space Table” seat on the ATR 72-600.
Japan’s “Tourism Economy News” reported on December 1 that the new design can convert a standard two-seat economy-class unit into a single premium seat within minutes. This allows airlines to configure the cabin flexibly as all-economy, with one class, or in a two-class layout according to demand.
The seat is still under development and is expected to receive certification in the first quarter of 2027.
Air Cambodia took delivery of an ATR 72-600 in May 2025 and plans to introduce X-Space Table seats across all three of its aircraft of this type in 2027. The business-class section would then have four seats.
