A serious traffic violation occurred in urban Sihanoukville on the afternoon of December 3. After a white car collided with a vehicle ahead on a city road, its driver failed to stop as required and instead accelerated away, drawing widespread attention.
According to video filmed by people at the scene, the car appeared to lose control repeatedly as it fled, leaving its lane and even mounting the pavement. Pedestrians and tourists were still on the road and coastal walkway, and several people hurried out of its path in alarm. No injuries or deaths were reported, but the dangerous driving drew strong public condemnation.
