Kratie provincial authorities detained Hom Yu, chief of the Kbal Damrei commune police post in O’Kreang Senchey district, Kratie province, and one other associate on the evening of December 29, 2025, on suspicion of involvement in a drug case.
Colonel Seang Sopheak, deputy commissioner of the Kratie Provincial Police, confirmed that officers had carried out an operation in a drug case in Roluos Mean Chey commune on the evening of December 29. He could not yet provide details because the case was still going through procedures.
Separately, Kratie Provincial Police spokesperson Han Poch said on the morning of December 31 that Hom Yu, chief of the Kbal Damrei commune police post, had indeed been detained on the evening of December 29 and that legal procedures were under way.
The provincial police spokesperson was nevertheless still unable to give details of the case because the procedures were continuing.
