For New Year 2026, Dr Pich Chanmony Hun Manet sent wishes to all Cambodian people, asking them to turn the pain of 2025 into efforts to learn and strengthen themselves, continue national unity, love their country and people, and contribute according to their knowledge and abilities. This would make the nation stronger, because they did not want their children and grandchildren to experience events like those of 2025 again.
She stressed: “The past year, 2025, is one we cannot forget. It clearly showed the consequences of war and the true meaning of peace that our grandparents and parents have always taught us. It was also the first year in more than 40 years when Cambodians, at home and abroad, united their strength to defend Cambodia from aggression.”
She also expressed profound thanks to all soldiers, national police and armed forces for their courageous efforts to defend Cambodian territory against aggression. Without their sacrifices and efforts, she said, people could not welcome the New Year in peace and happiness as they were doing.
She wished that Cambodia would regain peace in 2026, and that all people, especially soldiers, national police and armed forces, would enjoy safety, happiness and good health.
