Summary

Vegetables tended daily by displaced people at Chhouk Rungsi centre are growing well and will soon be harvested for daily meals. The activity follows the Siem Reap governor’s guidance and Pech Chanmony Hun Manet’s initiative.

As of the day of the report, vegetables at Chhouk Rungsi centre were growing well under the daily care, fertilising and watering provided by displaced people. Before long, the vegetables will be harvested to supply daily meals.

These activities follow the guidance of Siem Reap governor Prak Sophoan and the initiative of Dr Pech Chanmony Hun Manet under the “Together for the Nation!” movement. The initiative encourages all Cambodians to join in growing and harvesting vegetables to supply soldiers’ families and displaced people for their daily use.

On behalf of displaced compatriots, sincere thanks are extended for Dr Pech Chanmony Hun Manet’s valuable initiative and Siem Reap governor Prak Sophoan’s guidance. They have consistently paid close attention to displaced people’s well-being and food supplies so that they do not face shortages, particularly by encouraging further vegetable cultivation.
