On January 13, 2026, moved by the hardship and deep sympathy for the father of heroic serviceman Phon Sangha, Cambodian Red Cross President Bun Rany Hun Sen assigned Houn Chanbora, director of the Cambodian Red Cross’s relations department, and colleagues to visit him and provide five million riel and some daily necessities and food supplies.
His father is 62 years old and seriously ill following a stroke suffered a month ago. He is currently staying at his elder sister’s home in Chrak village, Prey Krasang commune, Samkkei Munichay district, Kampong Speu province.
Phon Sangha serves in an air-defence battalion of the 3rd Division in Preah Vihear province. His wife and two children are staying at a safety centre in Preah Vihear.
