On the evening of January 13, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said in a Facebook post that combating online scam crime was an urgent priority.
Hun Manet said the Cambodian government clearly recognised the serious harm caused by online scams and their cross-border networks, and had placed the issue at the centre of its political agenda and among its priorities.
Hun Manet called on all sectors of society, people from every walk of life and all armed forces to unite and cooperate to thoroughly eliminate negative activities connected with cybercrime and safeguard Cambodia’s international reputation.
