The Phnom Penh administration recently held a themed photo exhibition during a meeting reviewing work in 2025 and setting out tasks for 2026. It brought together major achievements in urban construction, infrastructure and socioeconomic development, presenting the capital’s evolving development. Several sections illustrated Phnom Penh’s transformation from a city with weak basic infrastructure and a small population into a modern metropolis with well-developed functions, a favourable environment for living and business, and considerable vitality.

According to the presented material, continuous investment by successive governments over more than thirty years, particularly the strategic guidance of former Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen and leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet’s seventh-mandate government, had enabled major advances in the capital’s infrastructure, public services and overall functional layout, with a series of milestone construction achievements.

Before the meeting closed, Governor Khuong Sreng gave Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol a detailed introduction to the exhibition. After viewing it, Sun Chanthol highly praised the Phnom Penh administration and its leadership team, recognising their long-term efforts and results in promoting coordinated, sustainable development of the capital. He said pragmatic, efficient governance had driven continuing high-quality development in Phnom Penh.
