Since opening, Phnom Penh’s walking street has continued to grow in popularity and quickly become a favourite destination for residents and visitors. Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng said it received nearly six million visits in 2025, including more than 110,000 international tourist visits, becoming a new highlight of the city’s night-time leisure and tourism.
The figures were announced at the Phnom Penh municipal government’s meeting reviewing its work in 2025 and planning work for 2026. Officially opened in February 2025, the walking street draws on its central location and increasingly varied leisure and entertainment activities to attract many residents and domestic and international visitors, continually supporting the night-time economy and urban tourism.
Khuong Sreng said the city government would continue improving tourist attractions, strengthening public safety, order management and visitor services to attract more tourists to Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh recorded about 11 million visitor visits in 2025, up 4.53%, comprising nearly ten million domestic visits and more than one million international visits. At the time of the report, the walking street operated on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
