Cambodian agriculture recorded milestone growth in 2025. The Agriculture Ministry's latest report put total agricultural exports at 14.9 million tonnes, up 27.8 percent year on year, earning about US$5 billion. Both export volume and earnings reached record highs.
Rice was a central driver of growth. Annual paddy exports reached 6.85 million tonnes, up 48.8 percent; milled-rice exports rose to 940,300 tonnes, up 45.6 percent and a record high. Non-rice agricultural exports also grew steadily to 7.11 million tonnes, including vegetables, fruit and other crops, reflecting continued diversification.

Agriculture Minister Dith Tina said production and supply chains remained broadly stable despite temporary disruption to Cambodia–Thailand border logistics, supporting domestic food security and export growth. China and Vietnam remained the principal export markets. The government was promoting a shift from traditional subsistence farming towards larger-scale commercial production, with emphasis on higher-value agricultural processing to improve international competitiveness.
