Cambodia’s telecommunications regulator announced on February 12 that deployment had progressed rapidly since 5G services officially launched on January 1. Three mobile operators in the country were advancing network construction.
By the time of the announcement, 1,494 5G antenna base stations had been built nationwide. One operator had activated 674 stations in Phnom Penh and major provincial centres, another 531 and the third 289. The report said the continuing increase in stations was accelerating coverage and advancing digital communications.
