In a Lunar New Year greeting to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet reaffirmed efforts to further strengthen ironclad friendship and diamond cooperation with China.
The message, dated February 15, 2026, said the two countries would seize new opportunities to strengthen their ironclad friendship and take diamond cooperation to a new level while advancing an all-weather Cambodia-China community with a shared future. It also said the Chinese government had provided and was continuing to provide unwavering support and invaluable assistance, contributing significantly to Cambodia’s socioeconomic development.
Cambodia and China share a traditionally close friendship, strengthened through deep political trust, vigorous economic cooperation, vibrant cultural exchanges and strong people-to-people ties.
