Pailin police conducted unannounced inspections of three licensed casinos on February 20. The report said the operation implemented government instructions to combat online fraud and other offences and protect security and public order.

The checks were part of a province-wide anti-scam campaign. Police focused on crowded places, foreign residents’ accommodation and casinos to prevent and combat offences including human trafficking, particularly prevalent online crime.

Officials said the operation demonstrated government determination to address scams and regulate the sector. Continued oversight and enforcement were intended to reduce opportunities for crime and protect social stability and cybersecurity.
