At an annual work meeting on February 23, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Tea Seiha said online scam operations were shifting from large buildings and hotels into rented homes and other smaller premises, making them harder to detect.

The report said the number of foreigners concentrated in Koh Kong province had fallen following the crackdown. However, some scam operations continued in smaller residential locations, requiring vigilance and continued investigation by the authorities.
Tea Seiha urged the relevant agencies to strengthen inspections and law enforcement, maintain stability along the border and public order, and crack down on unlawful activity in accordance with the law to support local development.
