The Kep–Koh Tonsay tourist port plays an important role in transporting tourists and residents to Koh Tonsay, or Rabbit Island, while supporting tourism and the local economy in Kep province. Besides serving as a travel gateway, it has created jobs and helped improve local livelihoods.
Located along the scenic coast, the port has been developed alongside the natural surroundings and improvements to Kep city to attract visitors. Investment in new infrastructure has helped make the area a popular destination for domestic and international tourists.
The tourist port was officially inaugurated on January 19, 2022. Built on the old port site, it covers 3,470 square metres. The project also included a 13-by-100-metre concrete access road and a 10-by-30-metre administration building, incorporating ticketing and passenger waiting facilities for convenience and safety.
With continuing development, the Kep–Koh Tonsay port is becoming an important hub for Cambodian coastal tourism and new economic opportunities for Kep residents. Written by: KPS99TV
