By the time of the report, 89 of Takeo province’s 400 fuel stations had temporarily suspended operations because fuel companies had halted deliveries.
Say Sokheng, deputy director of the provincial Mines and Energy Department, said on the morning of March 10 that the province had 400 legally licensed petrol stations. Eighty-nine across its municipalities and districts had stopped operating because suppliers had temporarily suspended deliveries.
He said regular petrol at standard stations cost 4,400 riel per litre and diesel 5,150 riel on March 10, in line with Commerce Ministry prices. By the morning of March 11, regular petrol had risen to 5,200 riel per litre, up 800 riel from the March 8–10 period, while diesel had risen 900 riel to 6,050 riel per litre. Those prices were valid until March 13, 2026.
Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak said Cambodia had not yet experienced a national fuel-supply shortage and continued importing fuel daily. Nevertheless, the report said stations and distribution depots nationwide continued announcing closures because they lacked stock.
