Kampong Speu and Kampot provinces have reached agreement on administrative-boundary adjustments intended to address land occupation and land-use rights affecting 194 households in the boundary area.
Kampong Speu deputy governor Sim Ratanak and Kampot deputy governor Ngan Tharith led a coordination meeting with specialist departments, municipal and district authorities and technical officials from both provinces to check boundary data for clarity and balance.
Sim Ratanak said the work aimed to reconcile technical data with geographical conditions and define boundary lines as accurately as possible. Cooperation would support administration, reduce uncertainty in public-service provision and help maintain security and order in the boundary area.
Ngan Tharith said Kampot was ready to cooperate fully with Kampong Speu in verifying and adjusting the boundary, providing a basis for reducing land disputes and supporting local economic development.
