Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration said it worked with the Chinese Embassy to deport 330 Chinese nationals, including six women, during the night of May 5 into May 6, 2026. The people concerned were linked to online-scam cases and cases of unlawful residence or unauthorized work.
According to the notice cited in the report, the deportation took place on a special flight through the border police post at Techo International Airport.
The report described the operation as implementing Prime Minister Hun Manet’s policy under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Sokha, with the aim of combating and eliminating technology-enabled crime in Cambodia.
It said the measures aimed to protect public security regionally and internationally, with no exceptions for organizers or others involved. The report also said authorities assisted victims deceived into scam activity, restoring their freedom and allowing them to return to their countries of origin. By: ប៉ៃ សុឃីម
