Summary

The fourth-mandate council met on 7 May to discuss outstanding public concerns, including employment and livelihood support for workers returning from Thailand.

According to the Pailin Provincial Administration, the fourth-mandate Pailin Provincial Council held its 24th ordinary meeting on the morning of 7 May 2026, chaired by Council Chair ជា ចាន់ឌិន and Governor Ban Sreymom. Provincial councillors, administration leaders, department heads, city and district authorities and other officials attended.

Ban Sreymom urged specialist departments and local authorities to review and resolve outstanding problems promptly rather than allow them to persist, so that residents’ needs are met in time. She particularly called for attention to the welfare and livelihoods of workers recently returned from Thailand, including help finding suitable jobs and other livelihood support.

The governor praised leaders, civil servants and the three categories of armed forces for cooperating responsibly to maintain security, public order and territorial integrity, provide public services and contribute to local development.

Council Chair ជា ចាន់ឌិន commended the provincial administration under Ban Sreymom for addressing residents’ problems and implementing the Safe Village and Commune policy. He said continuing development had improved the province’s appearance and attracted domestic and international visitors.

The council chair called on all leaders and civil servants to strengthen their sense of responsibility and improve efficiency, particularly by resolving problems and providing public services quickly and transparently, in line with Phase I of the seventh-mandate Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy.
