According to the original report, specialists from Cambodia’s National Police, together with Banteay Meanchey provincial police and military police, searched a suspected scam building beside National Road 58 on the morning of May 10. The Chinese report identifies the location as 乌祖 district, 欧贝尖 commune. It says no occupants were found and officers seized mobile phones and computers.
The report says specialist officers temporarily sealed the premises and affixed official seals.
The report quoted police as saying they would continue investigating the evidence found at the site and seek possible organisers.
The report also cited the relevant authorities as urging the public to stay alert and avoid trusting high-paying job offers or false information.
The report urged the public to notify police of suspicious activity.
