Five more companies were allowed to import frozen meat to supply Cambodia, according to a joint notice obtained on May 19, 2026, from the General Department of Customs and Excise under the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the General Directorate of Animal Health and Production under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The report said eligible importers must still meet the relevant requirements. Their registered business activities must cover frozen-meat imports or related meat-import activities, and they must have clearly identified overseas suppliers. They must also have storage facilities meeting the technical requirements for maintaining frozen-meat quality and provide a written undertaking to use technically appropriate transport and distribution methods.
