Summary

According to the gambling regulator’s secretariat on May 22, 2026, Poipet’s Galaxy International casino had its licence revoked over online scam activities. A May 7 operation led to seven arrests and equipment seizures; suspects were referred to prosecutors for legal proceedings.

According to the secretariat of Cambodia’s Commercial Gambling Management Commission (CGMC) on May 22, 2026, the gambling licence of Galaxy International, known as KMH Paradise Tower Casino & Hotel, in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey province, was revoked over online scam activities.

Previously, on May 7, officers inspected the casino. The statement said the operation uncovered suspected technology-enabled fraud, abuse and illegal possession of weapons.

During the operation, police arrested seven suspects and seized 176 mobile phones, nearly 100 all-in-one computers, monitors, laptops and other equipment.

According to the statement at the time, the seven suspects were referred to prosecutors at the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court for legal proceedings, while the electronic equipment was retained for examination.

The CGMC said it had revoked the establishment’s operating licence under commercial gambling regulations and called on gambling venues to cooperate with law enforcement and report suspected online scam activities. The regulator said it would continue working with relevant authorities to inspect gambling venues suspected of illegal activities.
