PHNOM PENH — On July 27, 2026, Secretary of State and working group chairman ប៉ាល់ ចន្ទតារា led a Ministry of Public Works and Transport delegation and specialist officials to an interministerial meeting to review, discuss and revise the draft sub-decree on managing the use of road reserve land along the road network. The meeting was chaired by ឆឺយ រឿន, Secretary of State at the Office of the Council of Ministers.
The meeting aimed to review, discuss and exchange views on: (1) the assessment report on the draft sub-decree’s political, economic, social and environmental impacts; (2) the content of its summary explanatory memorandum; and (3) the draft’s provisions, to gather further, comprehensive input on political, economic, social and environmental aspects.
After careful review, discussion and exchanges of views, participants agreed as follows:
(1) Prepare an impact assessment report on the draft sub-decree, adding rural development roads; (2) support the draft sub-decree’s content; and (3) continue meeting in future to review, discuss and revise its provisions.
