The “គ្រូតឿ” content team met information officials on August 3, 2026, acknowledged mistakes and agreed to six measures, including removing misuse of the Red Cross emblem, reviewing earlier content and reporting within ten days, and obtaining prior consent from relevant state bodies.

The content production team known as “គ្រូតឿ” appeared to explain content that had prompted a public reaction and received corrective guidance from the Director-General of the General Department of Information and Broadcasting. The appearance followed instructions from the Minister of Information concerning improper use of the Red Cross emblem and the production of content harmful to social morality and the dignity of Cambodian women.

On August 3, 2026, Mr. Phos Sovann, Director-General of the General Department of Information and Broadcasting at the Ministry of Information, met the “គ្រូតឿ” content team to provide education, guidance and corrective advice. As a result, the page owner and the team acknowledged their mistakes and agreed to implement several measures presented to them.

The measures were as follows:

1. Remove inappropriate content. The owner of the “លីហួ កូនខ្មែរ” page agreed to delete all content that had improperly used the Red Cross emblem.

2. Correct content. The owner of the “លីហួ កូនខ្មែរ” page must correct all content that had improperly used the Red Cross emblem.

3. Review earlier content within ten days. All previously published content on every social network that harmed social morality and the dignity of Cambodian women must be reviewed and revised, and a report submitted to the Ministry within ten days.

4. Provide information and stop harmful activities. The “គ្រូតឿ” content team must give the General Department of Information and Broadcasting relevant information and a list of pages with which it had previously collaborated to produce or publish content, so that further educational measures can be taken. The team also promised to stop immediately producing any content harmful to national culture, traditions and customs, and the honour, dignity and value of Cambodian women.

5. Seek permission in advance. Before producing or publishing any content concerning a ministry or state institution, the creators must consult the relevant ministry or institution and obtain its consent.

6. Help disseminate educational messages. The Ministry called on all content creators and performance groups to focus instead on sharing social education messages, including those concerning drugs, traffic accidents and the promotion of social morality.

Phos Sovann also reminded all content creators to strengthen their sense of responsibility and respect the law, culture and the value of Cambodian women when creating new work for society.
