(Phnom Penh) — On the afternoon of August 3, 2026, H.E. Pheng Sovicheano, Secretary of State and chairman of the organizing committee, chaired a meeting to prepare for the official opening of a section of National Road No. 73, a section of Provincial Road No. 377, and Provincial Road No. 377A in Tbong Khmum and Kratie provinces. The project is supported by concessional financing from the World Bank. Ministry leaders, committee members, members of the inauguration preparatory subcommittees and relevant technical officials attended.
The meeting further reviewed the progress of preparations by each responsible subcommittee in carrying out its assigned duties. It aimed to expedite the remaining work and ensure that preparations for the opening ceremony proceeded smoothly and achieved the intended results under the established plan.
The section of National Road No. 73, the section of Provincial Road No. 377, and Provincial Road No. 377A have a combined length of 98.40 kilometers. They are scheduled to be officially inaugurated on August 25, 2026, under the presidency of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
