Chaos! 'KV' Gang Arrested for Assault and Motorcycle Theft in Svay Rieng, Nine Detained

A notorious group of youths who have been causing fear among the public has been apprehended by the Svay Rieng Provincial Police in collaboration with the National Police. Nine individuals were arrested on September 1, 2026.

The operation was conducted under the direct command of His Excellency Touch Picheat Virak, Provincial Police Commissioner of Svay Rieng, and His Excellency Touch Chhin Sophoan, Deputy Provincial Police Commissioner. The specialized forces worked in conjunction with the Kratie Provincial Police, Kampong Cham Provincial Police, and Takeo Provincial Police to crack down on the gang known as "KV."

According to the police, the "KV" gang frequently engaged in acts of robbery, motorcycle theft, and causing public disturbances in Svay Rieng (Kratie commune) and Kampong Cham (Trang commune). Currently, the nine suspects have been sent to the Criminal Department for further legal proceedings.

The police have urged all youths to stay away from drugs and other criminal activities as they can ruin their own future, their families, and the nation. The authorities have also appealed to parents and guardians to monitor and educate their children to become good individuals, students, and exemplary citizens in society.
