Cambodia Deports 65 Thai Nationals After Immigration Law Violations

The Cambodian National Police have taken administrative measures to deport 65 Thai nationals (including 28 women) from Cambodia through the Poipet international border checkpoint on the morning of September 9, 2026, after they completed legal procedures related to their illegal entry and stay.

The handover of these Thai nationals was facilitated by Lieutenant General Ith Chamroeun, Deputy Commissioner General of the National Police, along with Lieutenant General To Yum Man from the Department of Immigration, in cooperation with the Siem Reap Provincial Police and local authorities.

After completing the necessary preparations and administrative procedures, the Cambodian authorities safely escorted all Thai nationals across the border to Aranyaprathet district in Sa Kaeo province, in compliance with international law.
