Cambodia-Thailand Prepare to Open UNCLOS Talks in Singapore, Broadcast in Three Languages

The Ministry of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia announced on September 13, 2026, that the Joint Commission of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) will organize the first meeting between Cambodia and Thailand in Singapore from September 14 to 16, 2026. The opening session of the two parties will take place on September 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM Cambodia time and 9:00 AM Singapore time, and will be broadcast live in Khmer, English, and Thai.

For Cambodia, the opening will be addressed by Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The meeting will be conducted under the auspices of UNCLOS with the participation of both Cambodia and Thailand in the official proceedings in Singapore.

The National Television of Cambodia will broadcast live from Singapore starting at 7:30 AM Cambodia time, which is 8:30 AM Singapore time, onwards. Additionally, other television stations and media outlets will also broadcast live from the National Television of Cambodia.
