Sihanoukville working group brings aid to families facing hardship and chronic illness

Preah Sihanouk province: “The hardships of the people are a concern for their leaders.” On the afternoon of September 19, 2026, Heng Bunthy, chairman of the K.26 “A” membership management committee and head of the provincial Cambodian People’s Party working group assigned to Sangkat 4 in Sihanoukville, together with Cheng Vuthy, head of the working group assigned to Village 6, led colleagues on a visit to two families facing financial hardship and chronic illness. The families live in Group 2, Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

During the visit, the chairman and working group delivered food, supplies and financial assistance to the families’ homes. Each family received one 25-kilogram bag of rice, one carton of Cheat instant noodles, four packs of drinking water, one pack of soy sauce, one pack of canned fish and 700,000 riel. Financial assistance for the two families totalled 1,400,000 riel.

The chairman and Cheng Vuthy also provided an additional 300,000 riel to the chief, deputy chief and members of Village 6 to help them address immediate local needs more effectively.
