On September 19–20, Cambodian Minister of Public Works and Transport Peng Ponea led a delegation on a study visit to China. The delegation visited Guangdong Hongsheng Technology (广东泓胜科技股份有限公司) and Zhongchang Huarui Transportation Energy (中昌华瑞交通能源有限公司), focusing on intelligent transport management and road-material production technology.
At Guangdong Hongsheng Technology, the delegation learned about applications of intelligent transport technology in managing oversize and overloaded vehicles, with a focus on modern weigh-station management and systems for monitoring oversize transport vehicles. These technologies use intelligent systems to improve vehicle inspection and transport oversight, offering ideas for strengthening road transport management.
The delegation then visited Zhongchang Huarui Transportation Energy to learn about the production of road asphalt and modified asphalt concrete, focusing on the use of high-quality road materials in highway construction.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport said the visit and technical exchanges would help strengthen the management of oversize and overloaded vehicles, reduce overloading, and bring road infrastructure development into line with modern technology.
