64 individuals involved in fraud cases handed over! China-Myanmar joint action advances again

Recently, in accordance with the bilateral judicial and police cooperation agreement, the Wa State Judicial Committee and the Chinese law enforcement authorities completed the handover of a batch of individuals involved in fraud cases at the Meng'a Port in Menglian County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. A total of 64 people were handed over to the Chinese side, of whom 63 are criminal suspects suspected of telecommunications and online fraud, and one is a suspect involved in the case.

According to the briefing, on-site verification of the identities of the handed-over individuals, legal documents, and case evidence was completed by both sides, with the simultaneous handover of related tools used in the crimes.

The individuals handed over had previously fled from other overseas regions to the Wa State, attempting to continue engaging in telecommunications and online fraud activities. Through intelligence leads and routine patrols, the Wa State Judicial Committee gradually grasped the movements of the individuals involved and identified several suspected fraud hideouts.

After completing the investigation and deployment, Wa State law enforcement officers launched a raid, successfully dismantling several fraud-related hideouts and arresting 63 Chinese fraud-related individuals on site, as well as seizing a batch of tools used in the crimes.

At present, the individuals involved have been handed over to the Chinese side, and the follow-up cases will be further investigated and handled by the relevant departments in accordance with the law.
