Pchum Ben Festival Arrives! The King of Cambodia Extends Blessings to the Nation

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni recently issued a royal message to his compatriots nationwide, extending festive greetings and best wishes to all people on the occasion of the upcoming Pchum Ben Festival.
The King noted that Pchum Ben is an important traditional Cambodian holiday, which will be observed this year from September 27 to October 11. During the festival, people return to their hometowns to reunite with their families and visit pagodas to pray, making it an important occasion for expressing filial piety, gratitude, and remembrance toward parents and ancestors.

The King highly commended the Cambodian people for their strong awareness in safeguarding traditional national culture and promoting the spirit of solidarity, and encouraged compatriots across the country to continue passing down excellent traditional customs so that the precious cultural heritage can be handed down from generation to generation.
At the same time, the King called on his compatriots to use the Pchum Ben Festival to further strengthen national unity, jointly safeguard peace and social stability, and actively participate in national construction and development. The King also extended greetings to the Supreme Patriarchs of the two Buddhist denominations and monks across the country, and wished all compatriots abundant Buddhist blessings, family happiness, and success in all endeavors.
