Rainstorm Floods Submerge Areas of Pailin Province: Her Excellency Dr. Ban Sreymom Launches Emergency Intervention to Rescue Residents

The flood situation in Pailin Province has risen to alarming levels, with consecutive days of rainfall causing streams and rivers to surge and inundate homes, property, and crops of residents along the local areas.

In response to this situation, on the evening of September 24, 2026, Her Excellency Dr. Ban Sreymom, Governor of Pailin Province and Chair of the Provincial Disaster Management Committee, led a working group, technical officials, and local authorities
to conduct an on-site inspection of the flood conditions at Tumnob Village, Stung Trang Commune, Sala Krao District, in order to provide timely rescue assistance and arrange safe shelter for residents.

On that occasion, Her Excellency Dr. the Provincial Governor issued strict directives to the Department of Water Resources and Meteorology, as well as to authorities at all levels, to actively cooperate in identifying drainage locations and preparing emergency rescue forces. At the same time, Her Excellency also called on residents living along the riverbanks and in disaster-prone areas to heighten their vigilance, take care of their health, and immediately report any emergencies to the authorities, while intervention forces from all institutions are fully on standby to assist residents at any time.
