Nearly 7 decades of friendship strengthened! PM Hun Manet meets with New Zealand's new ambassador for talks

On the morning of Monday, September 28, 2026, at the Peace Palace, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, opened the welcoming doors for Ms. Raylene Siale Tagaloa Liufalani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand, who has just been newly appointed to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the occasion of her visit to pay a courtesy call, as well as to discuss key bilateral matters.

This diplomatic meeting was held in a cordial and fruitful atmosphere, reflecting the joint commitment between the Royal Government of Cambodia and New Zealand to broaden the scope of cooperation across all sectors, in order to serve the practical interests of the peoples of both countries.

It is also worth recalling that the friendship and official diplomatic relations between Cambodia and New Zealand were established as far back as 1959.
