Lecture on Global Economic Impact and Cambodia's Industrial Strategy Held at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port

(Preah Sihanouk province): On September 28, 2026, at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), His Excellency Professor Sok Siphanha, Minister of State in charge of special missions and Chairman of the Committee for Providing Recommendations on Trade Policy (CPRTP), presided over a lecture on "Global economic trends affecting Cambodia, the current situation in the United States following the establishment of the framework for using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), the impact of the China 2.0 economic waves, and strategic pathways for the development of Cambodia's industrial sector."
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Thai Rithy, Deputy Director General in charge of Business, and Mr. Thaoong Viro, Deputy Director General in charge of Administration and Management, representing His Excellency Lu Kim Chhun, Royal Government Delegate in charge of Director General of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, along with numerous leaders and specialized officials, including officials of the Secretariat of the Committee for Providing Recommendations on Trade Policy, leaders and officials representing the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, customs and excise branch officials at the Preah Sihanouk International Port, as well as immigration police officers at the Preah Sihanouk International Port gate.
This lecture was organized with the aim of sharing in-depth knowledge, analysis of geopolitical and international economic aspects, and presenting key strategies to strengthen resilience and promote the effective development of Cambodia's industrial, trade, and logistics sectors. By: Pai Sokkhim
