From October 1 to 2, contestants of the 2026 "Universal Women" international women's pageant arrived in Preah Sihanouk province, Cambodia, with representatives from 48 countries and regions participating in this Sihanoukville visit.
Beyond the pageant itinerary, the contestants will also take part in local tourism promotion activities, experience Sihanoukville's coastal tourism resources in depth, and personally showcase Cambodia's islands and seaside scenery to an international audience.
On the evening of October 1, contestants from multiple countries gathered at Huanhai Hotel (环海酒店) in Sihanoukville, toured the hotel lobby and posed for group photos. Contestants from different countries chatted together, capturing memorable moments of the Sihanoukville visit.
The contestants then headed to the hotel's buffet restaurant to sample local specialties and interact in a relaxed dining atmosphere. One contestant said in an interview: "It's beautiful here, everyone is very warm and hospitable, and I'm looking forward to exploring the city further."
According to the itinerary, the contestants will also visit popular Sihanoukville destinations including Koh Rong, experiencing the local coastal scenery, culture and tourism services.
The Sihanoukville provincial government said it hopes to leverage this international women's pageant to introduce Sihanoukville to more international visitors, further raise the international profile of Cambodia's coastal tourism destinations, and promote cultural exchange between countries.
