On October 7, 2026, His Excellency Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, received a delegation from Kitakyushu City, Japan, led by Mr. Keisuke Tachi, Deputy Mayor, to discuss expanding cooperation in clean water, technology transfer, and investment at the Ministry's headquarters.
On the occasion, the Minister affirmed that "clean water is a priority for economic and community development" and encouraged Japanese companies to increase investment and bring technology to Cambodia, particularly to support private clean water operators and expand clean water supply services to additional new areas.
