On the afternoon of October 7, 2026, His Excellency Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, led a delegation to receive and hold a bilateral meeting with a Lao youth delegation led by His Excellency Thongly SISOULITH, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union.
The bilateral meeting was organized with the objective of consolidating and expanding youth cooperation between the two countries, especially to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-Laos diplomatic relations.
His Excellency Hun Many extended a warm welcome to the Lao youth delegation visiting Cambodia.
At the same time, His Excellency also shared the strategic directions, causes, mission, and various projects that the UYFC has been and is implementing for the benefit of Cambodian youth, as well as the creation of opportunities for youth of both countries to study, learn, and exchange experiences with one another.
In response, His Excellency the head of the Lao youth delegation expressed deep gratitude for the warm hospitality from the Cambodian counterpart. His Excellency emphasized that this official visit was made with the aim of studying, learning, and exchanging experiences among youth of both countries, in order to deepen cooperation ties.
Taking this opportunity, after the working discussions, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding to create a framework for deeper cooperation.
