His Excellency Say Sam Al, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and Head of the Government Working Group in Preah Sihanouk province, said that a Japanese company has provided financial support for the construction of one school building in Koh Rong city, Preah Sihanouk province.
Through his Facebook account on the evening of October 15, 2026, His Excellency Say Sam Al stated:
"The Royal Government working group assisting Preah Sihanouk province expresses its deep gratitude to Mr. Sumitomo Yusuke, project coordinator for the school construction, through the Japan Team of Young Human Power (JHP), and Mr. Roji Fukuda, Chief Executive Officer of Roji International Group Co., Ltd, who have confirmed the feasibility of mobilizing funds from philanthropists and Japanese construction companies to provide financial support for the construction of one school building on Koh Rong, in Koh Rong city, Preah Sihanouk province."
At the same time, the Royal Government working group considers the school on Koh Rong to be a necessary and highly important institution for developing human resources on Koh Rong, both for the local residents already living there and for foreigners who come to stay on Koh Rong.
