Didn't stop after the crash? Two injured in Phnom Penh as vehicle is intercepted

On the evening of September 24, a traffic accident occurred in Meanchey District, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A Chinese national is suspected of driving a vehicle that collided with a motorcycle, injuring two people on the motorcycle.

According to information posted on social media by local content creator Kak Vey, the two injured people were his mother and sister. After the accident, the vehicle involved reportedly did not stop, but continued driving forward. The struck motorcycle was wedged underneath the vehicle and was dragged for several kilometers, producing sparks as it scraped against the road surface.

The vehicle was subsequently intercepted, and the Chinese national involved was taken to a police station for investigation. He reportedly remained relatively calm and kept smoking while inside the vehicle and at the police station.

The specific injuries of the two victims, the detailed cause of the accident, and whether the driver involved was driving under the influence have not yet been officially confirmed by police. The relevant circumstances still await further investigation and an official announcement.
