At the Ministry of Commerce headquarters in Phnom Penh, H.E. Buon Sarakmony, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, and H.E. Pen Sovicheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening of a dissemination workshop on "Updates on the Modernization of Commercial Registration" on the morning of October 8, 2026.
The workshop was organized with the aim of disseminating and providing further clarification on the latest progress of the reform of the commercial registration system through the use of digital technology, in order to boost efficiency, transparency and convenience for entrepreneurs in starting and operating their businesses.
The ceremony was attended by leaders and officials of the Ministry of Commerce, representatives of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and chambers of commerce of the capital and provinces, representatives of foreign chambers of commerce in Cambodia, business associations, as well as numerous representatives from relevant private-sector stakeholders.
